We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition. It celebrates the dedication of our trustees, volunteers, fundraisers and, most importantly, the wonderful local community whose continued support enables us to make a difference at Stratford Hospital.
A huge thank you to everyone who supports Friends of Stratford Hospital. We couldn’t do what we do without you. 💕

Meet Siân… and Tink! 🐾💙
Hi, I’m Siân, one of the trustees at Friends of Stratford Hospital, and this is Tink, my little Cockerpoo and very unofficial assistant!
I’ve lived and worked in Stratford for many years and absolutely love being part of our local community.
After a varied career, including working in property development and property services within the NHS, I completely changed direction and retrained as an acupuncturist. I now run Stratford Acupuncture and also supervise and mentor other health care professionals.
When I was asked to become a trustee of Friends of Stratford Hospital, I was genuinely delighted. I’d been looking for a way to give something back to the community that has supported me and my business over the years, so it felt like a perfect opportunity. Working closely with patients every day, I see just how important good healthcare and support can be, and FoSH felt like a really lovely fit. 💙
I particularly enjoy getting stuck into the social media and the marketing side of FoSH, helping more people discover who we are, what we do and just how much the charity contributes to our local hospital.
Away from work and FoSH, I’m mum to Ruby, wife to Jon and, of course, dog mum to Tink! I love spending time with family and friends, getting out and about with Tink, eating out, keeping fit and enjoying everything Stratford has to offer.
I’m really proud to be part of the FoSH team and excited about what we can achieve together.
And if you see me out and about, come and say hello. If Tink’s with me, she’ll probably get there first! 🐾💙

Stratford’s Big 10K & Half Marathon — what a day! 🏃‍♂️

It wasn’t our event, but we were incredibly proud to fully support it. 💙

As supporters of Friends Of Stratford Hospital we rallied the marshals, entered our own runners and shouted about the event and the importance of supporting our local hospital, as much as we possibly could!

A huge kudos to Emma, Patron of the charity, and Alice, who pulled on their running shoes for FoSH and achieved remarkable results. 👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

And of course, a massive well done to the organisers Tempo Events, sponsors Lodders Solicitors, and every single person who turned up — whether running, organising, volunteering, marshalling, cheering from the sidelines or simply supporting the event.

Events like this bring our community together, create awareness and give local charities like Friends of Stratford Hospital an opportunity to be seen, heard and supported 💪🏻

No bull - We’re delighted to have been chosen as a finalist for Best Green Business once again! We’re defending our title in the Stratford HeraldBusiness & Tourism Awards and we're pretty moo-ved.

We recognise that this isn’t an industry-specific award — and that’s actually one of the reasons we’re so pleased to be part of it.

For us, sustainability and the way we manage our land shouldn’t sit within a farming or land management bubble. People in the industry broadly understand it. When you’re making a transition of this scale within a local community, it’s so important to bring people with you.

We want to talk about what we’re doing, but also educate, share ideas and open up conversations about why it matters.

At Alscot, our approach to managing the land goes far beyond farming. The way we look after our soils, rivers, trees, hedgerows and wider natural environment has a much bigger impact — from biodiversity and carbon capture to water quality, the resilience of our landscape, and ultimately social and public health.

Our regenerative farming journey is just one part of a much bigger picture. We’re constantly looking at how the way we manage this estate can deliver benefits not just for the land, but for the people and communities around us too.
