The first total eclipse to happen in over 125 years (August 30th, 1905) in Mallorca, here are the best places to catch the display:

Cap de Formentor

Beginning at 19.38 local time, totality will occur at 21:31:54 and the whole thing will be over by 20:32:42.

For the best views, as the eclipse will only last 1 minute and 36 seconds in total, be in position and comfortable for the first contact at 19.38.

Eclipse glasses, toilet rolls with tin foil covers or even colanders at hand, get ready for this incredible experience!

Most of you will already know we are big fans of Wildlife Sense, the sea turtle and coastal conservation charity based in Argostoli, Kefalonia. Over the past few weeks the team has:

➜ Protected hundreds of sea turtle eggs and discovered 100 new nests!
➜ Celebrated the first hatchlings of the season 🐣
➜ Rescued injured loggerhead turtles and returned them safely to the sea 💙
➜ Expanded seagrass and sand dune monitoring across the island 🌿
➜ Welcomed incredible volunteers who are making a real difference every day.
