Carrachan is a 3 bedroom cottage, with one double room at the front of the house, a twin also at the front and a small twin at the rear of the house. You enter the house into a Sunroom with comfy chairs for sitting admiring the view across the Loch, the lounge has a coal fire, for curling up on a winter evening or after a long day walking. The kitchen has a large dining table, dishwasher, microwave and oven, so self catering is easy to do, plus the village, only a mile away has a butchers, fish van and local grocery shop, so stocking up the kitchen is no chore. If you're looking for a night off cooking, there is the wonderful Loch Carron Inn which serves delicious meals and local beers. Loch Carron is a great base to explore the surrounding areas. Skye is 40 minutes away, Inverness an hour, Plockton and Applecross are both worth a visit, Plockton for its boat rides and regatta and Applecross for its amazing seafood at the Applecross inn.
