I’m incredibly proud to have been asked to become a Partner of The Senior Move Partnership.

It’s been a couple of months since I’ve joined but have been rewarded with meeting other wonderful partners and helping many clients when moving into their new homes - either to downsize or unpack!

When decluttering your wardrobe - consider the list below - if it falls into one of these categories then deal with it!! Donate to charity/repair/dry clean or wash/sell or keep it! Not so difficult!

Before tackling it prepare yourself by getting a big bag for charity, spare hangers and a cuppa before you start!!

Be ruthless, however, just because you haven’t worn a “special” item of clothing (a little black dress, party frock or a wedding outfit maybe) you may want to keep that piece before you dispose of it or at least until you replace it....

Most of all try and have fun - maybe do it with a buddy for encouragement!

Have you got a room that looks like this? Does it need decluttering and organising but you really don’t know where to start and it seems overwhelming? Take it step by step - sort into donate/recycle/throw away or keep. Look at your “keep” pile really closely then put it away in an organised space. And take the donate bags to charity before you may change your mind!! Feel free to contact me if you need another pair of hands .....

Ever look at homes in magazines or newspapers and wish yours could look so neat and tidy?

It takes time and effort initially to declutter but when it’s done you’ll be able to keep your home clean and tidy and you too CAN have a ‘magazine’ home!! It’s really worth the effort.....

Sometimes it’s good not to spend money on things that you really don’t want or need!

Save up what you may have spent on an unnecessary “thing” and treat yourself and a loved one to something you’ll remember and create a memory for the future. Money well spent.......
