🚨 Landlords – don’t miss this important deadline 🚨

The new Renters’ Rights Act came into effect on 1 May 2026, and there’s a key step you need to take for your existing tenancies.

If you currently have tenants in an Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST), you must provide them with the official government Information Sheet by 31 May 2026. This document will outline the major changes, including the move to periodic tenancies and the end of Section 21 “no-fault” evictions.

The good news? You don’t need to create a new tenancy agreement - simply ensure the Information Sheet is shared on time. However, missing this deadline could result in a civil penalty.
