A small project completed in this stunning contemporary home in Islington earlier this week.

The downstairs cloak room is also home to the hot water & heating system, along with the washing machine.

Working with client we decided the best approach, rather than ‘box in’ the boiler and hot water tank, was to build the required framing, and door lining to create an opening to install sliding doors.

The sliding doors can be easily removed, which gives great access for future maintenance, servicing, or replacement of heating & hot water system components.

This modern metropolitan family home is coming to market very soon. Please get in touch if you would like further details of the property.

A nice little project undertaken earlier this week.

Our client wanted to give their rather uninspiring downstairs toilet a fresh new look.

The combination of the patterned floor tiles, addition of the panelling, custom built cabinet to house a concealed cistern, and swapping the old pedestal sink for a compact vanity unit have really changed this space, giving it a much more modern feel.

The plans for decoration in here are for a bold colour on the panelling and cistern cabinet, and some very funky patterned wall paper above. I’m very much looking forward to seeing this when it’s been decorated.

The cistern is still fully accessible for maintenance, the design of the cabinet incorporates a large removable access panel….. a plumbers dream 😂

When we pulled the old tiles up off the suspended timber floor we discovered that the subfloor was in a very sorry state, so this was ripped up and replaced with Caber flooring. While the floor was up the drain that runs beneath the floor was also replaced.

New taps, pull out shower heads, blending valves on the hot water supplies, sink wastes and traps fitted through out for a repeat commercial client in central London this week.

The barber stations had been pre plumbed at the point of being built, so this was quite challenging, and involved working out a way to remove the tops off the benches to gain access to a central service void with out causing any damage, carrying out the re plumbing work, and then reconstructing the benches again.

All the work was carried out over night to avoid any disruption to the client.

A quick trip out for a repeat commercial client this morning to reinstate some railings, and repair the edge of the concrete outside one of their trade counters after some vandalism.

A fresh new front for an industrial unit installed for a repeat commercial client yesterday, along with some new parking bollards

The bollards were added to this install because the old frontage had been reversed in to…… it seems sparkys are are good at reversing as they are at operating a broom 🤭

The new door has multipoint locks, so it’s more secure than the old door that was only fitted with a single point mechanism.
