🔥 Before & After 🔥

Another project completed this week.

This old fireplace was completely opened up and transformed into a modern feature with reclaimed brick, a solid oak mantel and a new electric fire, creating a real focal point for the room.

It’s always satisfying seeing the difference from the original fireplace to the finished result.

Another week, another patio completed.

This Indian stone patio has transformed the outside space, with a clean new area running around the property and finished off neatly to suit the existing stonework.

A proper usable space now and no more weeds coming through the old surface.

Another project completed and ready for the next stage.

This porcelain patio is now finished, complete with recessed manhole covers, ACO drainage and bespoke blockwork planters, which will be rendered to match the property.

It’s been a great transformation and one we’re really proud of. Looking forward to seeing it once the planting and finishing touches are complete.

Another project moving forward in Skelton, York.

This new orangery is now ready for the installation of the windows and doors, with all structural brickwork, blockwork, steelwork and the roof structure complete.

Once the glazing has been fitted, the project will move on to the internal finishing stages.

It’s always satisfying to see a project reach this stage and start to take shape.

Structural alteration completed in Tadcaster.

An existing opening was enlarged and a new steel beam installed to create a larger open-plan living space.

Prior to the work starting, the existing flooring and surrounding areas were protected to help minimise dust and damage during the structural works.

Once the installation was complete, the work area was thoroughly cleaned, including vacuuming and mopping, before being left ready for the next stages of the project.

One thing I’ve learned since starting D. Cooper Building is that the finished job is only part of what customers remember.

A simple patio clean and repoint completed in Heworth, York.

The existing patio was looking tired and weathered, so we pressure washed the paving, removed the old joints and repointed throughout to give it a fresh new look.

Sometimes a good clean and repoint can completely transform an outdoor space without the cost of a full replacement.

Recently completed a small extension in Strensall, York for Yorkshire Custom Carpentry & Building.

Brickwork package completed from footings and DPC right through to roof height, ready for trusses and next stage works.

Clean lines, tidy brickwork and matched in carefully with the existing property.
