In October 2010, after 3 decades in estate agency, Robert Cooney opened the doors of his eponymously named company in newly built high profile contemporary offices situated along one of Taunton’s main streets in the town centre. nton along with the surrounding area covering one entire wall, itself becoming a talking point for people both inside and outside the office. Within twelve months, 3 had become 5 and the team now held an enviable collective 60 years of Agency experience. By 2012, the Lettings side of the business, which had successfully co-habited with Sales and by now a knowledgeable expanding team, was in need of more space and moved into No 10 Hammet Street, where a similar style office allowed for a more convivial lettings customer experience and the opportunity to see the then iconic feature wallpaper in Robert Cooney’s second office! In 2014, Tilly Cox joined the firm as Head of Residential Lettings and, building on the solid foundation of the first 4 years, began to take the lettings business to new heights. The Lettings office and essential ARLA accreditation enables Robert Cooney Lettings to provide total confidence for clients looking for a bespoke firm with which to entrust their investment. Back in Corporation Street, six years on with a strong business fully established and the office still looking as good as new, it was time for a change, to further invest in the future and tighten its already firm grip on the ever-changing digital world. During a meeting to discuss upgrading the original windows displays, an innovative and total refit of the Corporation Street office was born. The iconic wallpaper was replaced with a videowall of 9 x 55” screens, the low level window displays morphed into 3 Hi Bright monitors continually scrolling through the property portfolio, single straight-sided desks were replaced with double curved desks and iMac computers were installed to complete the contemporary, professional aesthetic … a 10 day project captured in this 90 second timelapse video. And now, almost 12 years on, the superb team comprises a total of 11 energetic and knowledgable local experts across both offices who share a true passion for property. With the firm’s unrivalled level of customer service, integrity and professionalism, not just another estate agent continues to ring true.
