With the weather looking very promising this May Half Term there is plenty happening for families, day-trippers and anyone chasing a bit of sunshine in and around Bath, Somerset.
Cool off with a riverside walk and swim at Warleigh Weir (BA2 7BH) - still one of the best local spots for a picnic, paddle or lazy afternoon by the River Avon. Just go early if the weather’s good, as it gets busy fast.
For family days out:
@‌The Roman Baths are running hands-on half term activities including Roman games and archaeology-themed fun.
@‌Avon Valley Adventure Park has full half term entertainment with outdoor play, animals and rides.
@‌Bath City Farm is always a solid free-ish option for younger kids and great views across the city.
There’s also loads on in town:
@‌Bath Fringe Festival events continue through half term.
@‌Komedia has live music, comedy and family-friendly shows across the week.
@‌The Royal Bath & West Show returns at The Bath & West Showground (28th - 30th May) with livestock displays, food, music and country show classics.
