🚜 Hay Season 🌾

The sun is shining and forecast for next few days is hopefully working in our favour - so it’s all hands on deck at the farm to get the hay done!

The hay making process, is as follows:
1. Planting the grass
2. Cutting - when the grass has grown, just like cutting your garden lawn!
3. Tedding - this flips the grass so it can dry out more thoroughly
4. Raking is the final step in the drying process and pulls the hay into rows for easier baling
5. Baling - this packs the hay into a square or round bale which is tied together with twine or netting
