🔥🎆🎇 Shaldon Bonfire and Fireworks - Saturday 31st October 2026 🔥🎆🎇

Shaldon Parish Council are very happy to confirm that the much loved and hugely popular annual community Bonfire and Fireworks Event will be taking place on Saturday 31st October this year, with a spookily spectacular Halloween - themed Bonfire on Shaldon Beach followed by a fabulous Firework display from the Point at Teignmouth. As always the date of this event is decided solely by the tides on Shaldon Beach - we can’t control nature!

This event is organised by volunteers at Shaldon Parish Council and remains free so that all children and families can enjoy a traditional British Bonfire Night. Although Teignmouth Town Council are not involved with the event this year, there will still be a marshalled fireworks viewing area on the Point Car Park - so families in Teignmouth are very welcome to come along and join in the fun.

As some of you may be aware, cliff stabilisation works carried out on behalf of Devon County Council will result in the closure of Marine Parade for 8 weeks from 28th September. Since being informed of this closure, Shaldon Parish Council have been doing lots of talking with DCC and they have kindly agreed to remove the road closure temporarily for this event, so pedestrians will still be able to walk down as normal from the Ness Car Parks into Shaldon along Marine Parade. This is of course subject to DCC not finding any unexpectedly huge problems during the cliff works but opening the road for our Bonfire and Fireworks is, we are told, a priority for them and we are very grateful for this.
