As we move into autumn, the light completely changes. Somehow the beaches look even more wonderful bathed in this softer light.

If you are a walker, then Tenby is definitely the place for you with its magnificent beaches, and stunning coastal walks. If you have a dog, from 30th September, you can walk them on all of the beaches.

We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at High House (we just ask that they stay on the ground floor).

If you are planning a walking holiday, make sure you add Tenby to your list.

You are following in some pretty amazing footsteps if you come and visit Tenby - even Lord Nelson visited!

In the early 19th century, Tenby transformed from a quiet, decaying medieval trading port into a fashionable seaside health resort, visited by many wealthy and famous people, including Beatrix Potter and Mary Ann Evans (better known as George Eliot). Roald Dahl spent many happy childhood holidays in the town.

Now September is here, the days are shortening and the amazing summer will soon be just a wonderful memory. But Tenby is special all year around - when it's warm, but also when it's cold - beautiful walks around the pretty town, or further afield along the cliffs. That's what makes Tenby such a lovely place to visit.

What a summer we are having! The seagulls are enjoying it as much as us. Being by the sea means we get a breeze off the sea, rather than the more tropical heat inland.

Why not book a boat trip to Caldey next time you are in Tenby? 🚣‍♀️ When the sun shines, the sea is the most magical colour. If you are lucky, you may even get to see seals basking in the sun on the rocks or playing in the waves.

The brightly coloured houses that surround Tenby harbour are a testament to the town's unwavering spirit! In the 19th century, the forward-thinking local council suggested homeowners paint their buildings in a kaleidoscope of colours, in order to make the area look bright and cheerful.
