Recently appointed as Project Managers & Contract Administrators by Gonville & Caius College at Cambridge University. The project is in the College’s library building (photo) and is to specify, tender and administer the heating works and boiler replacement. Note the old boiler behind Gowing & Hunt’s estimator and the 3 new Hamworthy boilers behind that. We project managed those works 2 years ago for the Old Schools, which is the main administrative building for Cambridge University.

We have finalised all contract arrangements for this extensive refurbishment project to this Grade II Georgian building in Hingham, Norfolk, including agreement of final account and subsequent issue of the final certificates to the Client and Contractor.

Fox Associates completed the design, specification, listed building application, tender, contract administration, cost control & project management of the refurbishment project and also acted as Principal Designer under the CDM regulations.

The project included re-roofing, re-building and structural repairs to chimneys, refurbishment and replacement of the period sash windows, feature brickwork repairs and external redecoration.

The Principal Contractor was FA Valiant, with the appointment of some local sub-contractors including VPH Roofing and Sash Window Preservation.
