I spoke at the recently and many of the local residents raised concerns over the condition of the portico of The Rose & Crown Hotel, a Grade II* Listed building.

A recent article released by TMBC explained that an Enforcement Notice has been issued to the owners ordering immediate safety works to the building’s portico with a deadline for completion.

Adem Mehmet, Cabinet Member for Infrastructure and Tonbridge Regeneration was on the panel too and has since said “The council has been in regular contact with the owners at the Rose and Crown Hotel and we are pleased to see that a report has now been produced that sets out the extent of the work necessary to restore the building to a satisfactory standard.“

I think everyone would agree this is a step in the right direction for our town and the hotel!
