A bit of a Y2K moment last night and this morning! thinking the world might end at midnight!🤣🤣 ...the clock ticked over and the Renters’ Rights changes are officially here.

But aside from all the media hype and noise, some things haven’t really changed at all.

Most tenants still want the same thing they’ve always wanted — a home they can feel settled in.

And private landlords? Most aren’t the villains from the headlines. They’re just people trying to protect a long-term investment, often with the simple goal of funding their retirement without running at a loss.

Yes, the regulations have shifted. Yes, there will be adjustments on both sides. But maybe this is also a chance to reset the conversation. Better standards. Clearer expectations. More balance.

Because when it works properly, it’s not tenants vs landlords — it’s a system where both sides benefit from stability, fairness, and a bit more understanding.

Here’s to staying positive about the changes made! It's Friday, the sun is out and it's and nearly wine o'clock! 🍷🌞
