New outdoor spa in Perranporth

Saunassa Nordic Spa | Perranporth is a definite MUST DO whilst in Cornwall for those that love health and wellbeing

In fact, I’d challenge anyone not to love this place

Whilst we ADORE a sauna by the sea over here, it’s also great to have an option that you really can do in ANY weather AND doesn’t involve schlepping into the sea each time you need to cool down

The infra red Sauna is a nice gentle heat, but you can target the panels on your achey / aged bits for deep muscle recovery

The Swedish sauna offers all the cardio and mental wellbeing benefits of a steam based sauna

A variety of cold plunge baths - from 12 to 7 degrees (I believe) offer a fabulous contrast for as long as you can tolerate them

Plus plentiful warm showers and 2 wood fired hot tubs when you need to warm back up

There’s also an indoor yoga studio, little cafe, parking (massive hit) and some outdoor seating

A great little find and one that we can genuinely recommend to all guests and followers

Next time you are holidaying in Cornwall, or even if you just live in Cornwall - ADD THIS TO YOUR LIST

They’ve only gone and done it again 🔥

Here’s the lowdown on taking teens to this iconic beachfront Cornish Festival

- arrange to meet somewhere obvious beforehand (teens are notoriously terrrible at answering their phones)

-it’s actually pretty easy to bag (organised) or if you go at the right times (free) parking just outside the beach

- head in together, as security are very strict about any u18s being accompanied by an adult (1A to 2x teens)

- parents know that you can’t take in camping chairs (school boy error on the Sunday on our part)

- feel safe that your teens are going to want to ditch you and head straight into the thick of it (it’s all very contained and they won’t get lost)

- this is a 3 day beach festival which normally sees some fabulous weather. You can camp (free shuttle buses take you to and from the campsite) but can also dip in and out very easily. The iconic is just next door and a fabulous spot for a few pre festival drinkies or a bite to eat

- if you have younger kids, spending some time out in the dunes, having a run into the sea or even a splash in the tidal sea pool is a great way to split up the day

- don’t forget to sign up for the wellbeing and surf sessions as these are fabulous. If you are lucky enough to grab a session with consider yourself in for a real treat 🧘‍♀️ 🎧

- just enjoy a really cool beach festival vibe - whether watching the day time acts through to the second stage bands, to the main headliners - know how to pull in all the big names and how to create a completely unique beachfront festival 🤘
