Water Vole Release with Kernow Conservation CIC and Derek Gow Consulting at Trewithen Gardens.

This is the second release to take place here as part of ongoing efforts to reintroduce one of our important keystone species. Water voles play a vital role in maintaining healthy wetland ecosystems, and it was fantastic to see another step being taken towards restoring their populations in Cornwall, supporting nature recovery.

After years of dedication, leadership, and inspiring those around him, yesterday we celebrated the retirement of Julian Crosby
His vision, guidance, and unwavering commitment has left a lasting mark—not just on the organisation, but on everyone who has had the privilege to work with him.
While it’s hard to say goodbye, we are excited for this next chapter in his journey—one filled with well-earned rest, new adventures, and time to enjoy everything he has worked so hard for.
Thank you for everything Julian. You will be missed.
