Back on the coast path at last! This is the brilliant walk out the door walk to St Anthony’s Head via Towan and back via Froe Creek. Views to Dodman Point, Falmouth and St Mawes. Sunshine, spring flowers, birdsong. Place church. Stopped for odd cuppa along the way and home for a pasta supper. 9.6 miles of fresh sea air!

Sneak preview of the refurb which is almost done! The lights, made in Cornwall by a Cornish designer, are looking gorgeous day and night. So there’s some new things, some familiar things and, as always that beautiful view! Porthcurnick was sparkling this morning. Spring is here! 🌱🌱🌱🌞🌞🌞😎😎😎🌊🌊🌊Some availability in April, July and August otherwise it’s chocka to October.

Just putting this out there so you know …. It’s coming! Sunshine, brightness and Spring is on the horizon! 🌞🌞🌞Cornwall is always further ahead. Mind you it was blowing a hooley next day! 🌊🌊🌊😂😂😂. Still stunning! Beach House is about to reopen after a winter refurbishment. DM me for availability.

Glorious winter sunshine, even a Red Admiral, on the walk via Rosteague to Towan and back. Lunch at was a properly made roasted vegetable soup with ciabatta (nothing out of a tin here!). Dinner at the under new management for possibly the best fish pie ever with a generous portion of seasonal greens. Finally a walking tour of Portscatho’s gorgeous Christmas lights. Perfect all round!

So much brilliant walking on the doorstep (feel free to use our books and maps). This short one is a favourite and packs in a breezy stroll Pendower to Carne, back of beach for a cheeky climb up the Bronze Age Hill fort known as Veryan Ringrounds, taking in the superb view of Gerrans Bay from the top of Carne Beacon (my precious stone set in the silver sea moment), then back to the start via the lanes. Big sky and big rocks included! Some vintage road signs. And, on this particular day, the last summer blooms alongside the Autumn fruits.
