There is currently a lot of discussion about the need for an extension to the stamp duty holiday, and indeed the government did respond back in December, however, if the petition reaches 100,000 signatures then it will need to be debated in Parliament.

Extending the Stamp Duty Holiday for an additional 6 months will assist many buyers who are looking to move to a property that they will not be able to afford otherwise. This will help to stabilise the housing market
