The hay has been baled! Diolch Rhys and team. Our American guests got the most amazing views today from the balcony of the crogloft as the local farmers gave their all to get the bumper harvest in nice and dry. We are staying cool by taking dips in the sea and river and the slate floor helps too. We hope you are all bearing up with the heat too.

Just this. One full minute of the birdsong at ynysmaengwyn-a public trust owned park which has some beautiful old trees, rivers and the most amazing birds. It is in walkable distance from and also has a walled garden perfect for a picnic and you can continue along the river to the sea. Be careful not to disturb ground nesting birds close to the river and have a lovely Friday!

Exciting day today! Taid arrived with the digger to start the foundations for our oak frame. Lots of slate came out, which we think will level some of the walkways but unfortunately a lot of the services have to be moved. There’s no better man for the job than and we look forward to welcoming soon. Follow the install here!

Epic day out at Cregannen and onto a road I’d never been on before. If you’re thinking of Snowdon, do this beautiful hike too and I’m sure you’ll love it!

Busy week, lots of changeovers and hot tubs made…sending love to all of you in the hospitality industry, it is such a pleasure to make people’s holidays the best they can be, but take so much effort too…have a great weekend all!

Aberdyfi is a little bit packed today for the Dafad Coch races. The first year of this wonderful event raising funds for charities. Amazing work you guys!! Idris did us proud in the ‘a few screws loose’ laser sailing boat design put together by (aka Dad) Harry his engineer colleague and Ian from Aberdovey Maintenance.
