I’ve been getting a lot of interest in outdoor projects lately so I thought I’d share a bit more about the treehouse I built last summer for the kids at Kingwood Children Ltd, Muddifords Court 🌿

The brief: create a large raised playspace that blends into the natural setting, is safe and accessible for all ages (from nursery tots to adventurous adults), and where possible, uses sustainable, budget-friendly materials.

The result: a whimsical, yet sturdy, weather-ready structure built with quality decking and handrails, a recycled pallet ramp, donated logs and flexible willow fencing that’s easy to maintain and adapt. It may look rustic, but it’s solid and anchored with rebar for strength!

Now it’s over to the kids to add to it and make it their own. I’ve heard they have pulleys, ropes, catapults and drawbridges in mind! I hope they’ll invite me back to play! 🪵✨

Here’s a few in-progress pics from some fun little jobs I’ve had recently. Lots of us have those spaces or bits of furniture in our homes that just aren’t quite as we want them to be 🤨

But with a bit of Dave the Handyman TLC, it doesn’t have to be costly to get them both practical and pretty!

🪚A pantry door, now on characterful sliders.

🪚 A chest of drawers, turned into a substantial built-in piece.

🪚 An old wardrobe, now smart updated storage.

🪚 An empty bathroom wall, ready to become practical shelving.

Once finished-off and decorated it’s all going to look like it was always built this way👌

Hope you’ve all had a cracking Bank Holiday weekend!

I had plans to relax but my little apprentices had other ideas… 💡🌳

After lots of creative design input and snack break negotiations, it’s safe to say the apprentices/boss(es) are pleased with stage one of the operation, and I’ve earned my wages in biscuits 🍪💪

I look forward to seeing what they’ll have me add next, so stayed tuned for updates! 🏰🦄

What a brilliant start to the year it’s been! Thank you to everyone who has kept me so busy, “your my favourite” ⭐️

I’m committed to working closely with my customers and the work has been coming in thick and fast, so to keep everything running smoothly I have decided to drag myself into this century and implement a new electronic system to streamline the admin side of things and manage new bookings. 😂
