Here are some of the finished photos of our last development 82 Dalton Road, Barrow in Furness. The building comprising of 5 x 1&2 bedroom self contained apartments, and a retail unit. The conversion was completed in late June, and is now fully let.

Week 7 - 20: The old dry cleaners - The rear of the building has been completely rebuilt, with new windows installed, floor joists and boards replaced where needed, brickwork has been cleaned and re-pointed, Chimney removed and stud work completed on the top floor.

Week 34-42 82 Dalton Rd.

Top 4 appartments - kitchens, bathrooms and
second fix joinery almost finished and decorating well underway.
Ground floor - shop unit and rear apartment first fixed and almost ready to plaster board.

Week 2 – 6 : The old dry cleaners.
Rear wall completely removed, foundations excavated and concreted. A micro digger was used to make things easier as a depth of 6’ was required.
The new cavity wall is almost up to the height of the first floor ceiling joists.
Striping out also progressing nicely.

Week 29-33: 82 Dalton Road. Wet dash completed and scaffolding now removed. First fix electrics and plumbing completed to the first 4 apartments, plasterers have almost boarded the top floor and the shop unit has been cleared out ready for work to start. Security cameras and alarm also installed.

Week 1: The old dry cleaners.
We purchased our latest project in August 2019 after a successful auction bid. Since then we've been granted planning permission to convert it from a ground floor dry cleaner's, with empty run down flats above, to 8 cluster flats and a small retail unit to the front. With the building being neglected for well over a decade, it's given us plenty to do. This includes removing and rebuilding a three storey section to the rear which suffered wall tie failure due to water penetrating the cavity. Week 22-28: New staircases installed, studwork 65% complete
1st fix electrical complete to the first 2 apartments.
Scratch coat and render reveals finished ready for the wet dash.

Week 18 - 21 due to covid related issues work has slowed in the passed few weeks, but we have managed to complete the dormer structure, roof covering almost finished, 75% of the new windows installed, final structural alterations complete and ground floor walls 60% tanked.

Week 16 & 17: New dormer roof starting to take shape ready for the roofers next week.
