Last Friday, I had a very lovely time celebrating Ladies' Day at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh!

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love and value networking and this was a golden opportunity as I was surrounded by women doing amazing things in their various fields.

Not only did I get to spend some quality time networking and learning with these lovely ladies, but I also got to enjoy some beautiful sights of the elegant Waldorf Astoria 😃

Is it possible to be in in love with a bathroom? 🤔😂

FOUR WORTHWHILE SKILLS FOR EVERY HOUSE FLIPPER 👉

1. Networking Skills

Every property flipping or renovation project typically involves a lot of people. 

Therefore, it is quite helpful to build a wide network of Solicitors, Finance Brokers, service providers,  and even other property flippers.

2. Property Valuation Skills

How much do you know about your local property market?

To succeed in property flipping and renovation, you need to learn as much as possible about this. 

What are the average sales prices on your property? 
How long should it remain on the market?

3. Negotiation Skills

This skill is very much necessary throughout all phases of your property development.

You will need to learn the art of negotiation in order to purchase the house you wish to develop, find and work with team members, and finally secure your project at the best price. 

4. Interior Design Skills

Whether or not you have the budget for an interior designer, you need to learn interior design skills.

This skill will especially come in handy to ensure the right style and colour scheme for your property.

Anyone else do a few hours of work on a Saturday to clear the desk and prepare for the week ahead?

I’ve had a busy week this week, managing projects, ordering materials, viewing property, offering and securing property purchases, speaking at an event, making new connections on IG, a mastermind call and I’m sure other things squeezed in there.

I love it and that’s beauty of being your own boss and being in property. The flexibility it brings and being able to work my schedule around my family is priceless.

I’ll get cracking on so I can smash the outstanding work and spend time with the kids.

Does anyone else have a navy kitchen?

I used this in a project at North Queensferry recently. I love the colour so much I’m going to work with it in a office refurbishment I’m working on too

Navy’s such a classic colour. Not sure how I’d describe the shade of blue which was the previous kitchen 🧐😂!
