Looking back to move forward.
We are very happy to be part of Regenerative Design 2026 at the Building Centre, and to be recognised by Architecture Today and Architects Declare UK as one of this year’s regenerative practices to watch.
Our work is being exhibited alongside an extraordinary collection of practices from across the UK and further afield, each exploring what it might mean to move beyond simply reducing harm and towards creating genuinely positive outcomes for people, places and the natural world.
For us, this feels like an important moment to reflect.
To look back at the projects we are proud of, but also to question them. What worked? What could we have done differently? What have we learnt? And, most importantly, how can those lessons change the way we work next time?
Regenerative design cannot be solved by one practice, one discipline or one project. The challenges we face are interconnected, and so must be our response. That means sharing knowledge, asking difficult questions and building new collaborations between architects, engineers, ecologists, landscape designers, makers, clients, communities and many others.
At a time when the challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, there is something incredibly positive about bringing so many people together who believe that the built environment can, and should, do better.
We joined some brilliant conversations at Building Centre this week and left with plenty to think about. We are looking forward to returning for more over the coming weeks.
Thank you to Architecture Today, UK Architects Declare, the Building Centre and everyone involved in creating a space for this conversation.
There is a lot of work to do. Let’s keep learning, questioning and doing it together.
