Job description
We are looking for suitable applicants with strong knowledge and experience in the horticultural industry.

You will need to be flexible with higher hours from April-November and less hours from December-March.

The role is varied and will involve general garden maintenance including mowing, strimming, boarder maintenance and hedge cutting. The role will require you to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Just like the gardens we care for, we believe in helping our team grow. If you’re reliable, keen to learn, and enjoy getting stuck in, there’s opportunity to move into a more senior role which could involve leading a team and managing your own workload.

We’ll support you along the way with hands-on training opportunities and chances to take on more responsibility when you’re ready.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have an eye for detail
- Have the Ability to follow a schedule
- Be punctual and reliable
- Have customer service skills
- Be flexible
- Have the ability to work as part of a team

This position is on a self-employed basis and rates of pay will be discussed at interview. A full UK Driving licence is essential due to rural locations.

Previous experience is desirable and references are required.

No weekends

PA1 Pesticide Certificate (preferred)
PA6 Spraying Licence (preferred)

A little selection of jobs we’ve completed over the winter months, lots of tasks to be done before the next season gets here, Wisteria & Roses will be needing a prune, February get the hedge cutting done if needed before the birds start nesting & as it drys out start the lawn renovation tasks, we’ve started with the aerating & will be looking at scarifying in a couple of weeks, still time to get bare root hedge plants orderd & planted. Busy time of the year, send us a msg or call if we can help with anything. 😊

Massive project which we started in September last year & finished on Thursday ready for the first wedding yesterday (Saturday) just got a few hundred fuchsia’s to plant as soon as they arrive but other than that we made it just in time. Another great project really enjoyed this one, tough & some what stressful at times but well done to all that worked on this one with me great effort as always 💪🏼
