Oh dear! That lovely rose we planted at bottom of garden and around septic tank, turns out to be Japanese Rose, an invasive species which is ‘an offence to plant or transplant in the wild’. We’ve just had visit from surveyors assessing Holyhead Island for problem species.

We’ve also got a big patch of Japanese Knotweed behind Bryn Ffysiwn, and just removed the sprig of Hottentot Fig from outside kitchen as found growing behind the caravan park. Both also on list.

Pulled a lot of ragwort from fields, but that’s not on the list
