We were in Ryde on Saturday and what a fantastic atmosphere there was around the town!

The streets were bustling with visitors enjoying the Steampunk Festival, while cars taking part in The Mini Adventure weekend passed through, along with some wonderful vintage buses adding even more nostalgia to the day.

It was a great reminder of just how vibrant Ryde can be, with its busy town centre, beautiful beaches, strong community and excellent transport links to the mainland.

🕷️IT’S SPIDER SEASON🕷️

You’ve probably noticed spiders moving in to the home in the past couple of weeks. Autumn marks the start of spider mating season, so you’ll see more spiders around. Here are a couple of ways to deter those visitors.

🕷️Spray diluted pepermint oil around windows and doorframes.
🕷️Seal cracks around windows.
🕷️Spray diluted vinegar in the nooks and crannies of the home.
🕷️Use cinnamon sticks and cinnamon scented candles.
🕷️Rub citrus fruit peel over windowsills.
🕷️Turn off lights as they’re attracted to bright light bulbs.
🕷️Maintain a regular cleaning routine.

We went along to Sandown Carnival last night and what a fantastic evening it was! 🌈✨
