Mental Health Awareness Week | Pop-Up Drop-In with Sarah 💚

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, it was a pleasure to welcome one of our very own The Nostell Estate tenants, Sarah Henry to Meridian Café for an informal pop-up drop-in session.

Sarah generously gave her time to be available for anyone who wanted to stop by - whether to say hello, have a quick chat, or learn more about mental health in general, including its impact in the workplace. She also highlighted the important work of support it provides 👌🏼

It was a valuable opportunity to create a relaxed space for open conversation & awareness, & we appreciate everyone who took a moment to engage.

Thank you to Sarah Henry for her time & for continuing to support conversations around mental health in such an accessible & approachable way 💚

Wow… what a morning! We were so lucky to have May’s We Are Wakefield First Friday event right on our doorstep at National Trust - Nostell Priory.

The First Friday events are always something we look forward to - a fantastic chance to catch up with long-standing members, meet new faces, & make everyone feel welcome. Thankfully, that’s easy to do when the room is full of such friendly, positive people who are always happy to talk all things business 😊

Hosting the event in the Riding School at Nostell Priory made it even more special. Members not only got to enjoy the event itself, but also had the chance to see where we are based & just how beautiful our location really is. In our opinion, there’s no better place to have an office - an inspiring setting steeped in beauty, character, & history 🌳

A huge congratulations to Peter Molyneux, our Estate Director here at Nostell, who has completed the 2026 London Marathon in support of Wakefield Hospice.

Peter took on the 26.2-mile challenge alongside his son, Thomas, helping to raise vital funds for a charity that means so much to many people across our local community. Together they’ve raised more than £6,500 plus Gift Aid!

From the unforgettable crowds to a goose-bump moment on Tower Bridge, it was a day Peter says he will always remember. And after 26.2 miles in the London sunshine, we think that much-deserved beer at the finish line was very well earned.

Well done, Peter and Thomas, and thank you to everyone who has donated and supported them!

When Peter Molyneux - The Nostell Estate Director Takes on the London Marathon 🏃🏼👟💂🏼💧

On Sunday 26th April, Nostell Estate Director Peter Molyneux takes on what he calls a challenge - some might call it mid-life madness - but one thing is certain: it’s a huge achievement, & we’re all right behind him. Running alongside Peter his son, Thomas providing support, encouragement, & a perfect pace to help him cross the finish line.

While personal achievement is part of the motivation, Peter’s bigger goal is to raise as much money as possible for a cause close to the community’s heart - Wakefield Hospice, whose vital work supports local families every day. Peter has already received some generous donations to get him started, but he needs our help to reach his goal. We’re calling on the team at Nostell Estate, friends, colleagues, tenants, & neighbours to join in supporting Peter’s extraordinary journey & commitment to giving back 💷

To help tell Peter’s story, Laura Yoxall from LY Video stepped in to capture the action. Alongside Peter, Lord St Oswald, Laura, Leo (of course), & Alex from Wakefield Hospice, they spent the morning filming interviews, sharing the motivation behind the run, & even running part of the route to capture stunning drone footage 📸

The result? An amazing short film designed to inspire a community, highlight Peter’s 26.2-mile journey, & encourage amazing donations. Have a watch of the video, feel inspired, & support Peter & Thomas - every donation is a reminder of why they took on this challenge & will be an additional boost to get them over the finish line 🥇
