Another Successful Structural Project!
We recently completed the careful removal of part of a load-bearing wall for one of our valued customers. Guided by the calculations and expertise of our structural engineer, we installed a steel beam to provide proper support for the roof above, ensuring safety and stability throughout.
The work was completed to a high standard, and we’re proud to say the customer is delighted with the result.

✅ Another Project Completed by the PHI Team – Swanage
Our latest roofing project in a conservation area in Swanage is now complete!
The property featured slates to the front, stone to the rear, and a large flat roof section. Upon removal, we discovered serious structural issues with the existing rafters prompting the need for a structural engineer’s assessment.
Despite the unexpected challenge, work never came to a halt. Our team ensured continuous progress, coordinating closely with the structural engineer and local council. We successfully brought the roof up to current building regulations and secured full sign-off with a Completion Certificate.
👏 Excellent teamwork and commitment from the entire PHI crew – always pushing through to deliver high standards, even on complex conservation area projects.

This much needed extra space has added significant value to the property as well the addition of living space for the family. Full electrical certificate provided and signed off by the local authority. It has been a pleasure working on this property and meeting the customers needs without impacting on their home. One of our valued regulars had a roof leak — and we jumped into action.
Here’s what we did:
• Stripped and replaced one side of the roof
• Installed new breather felt and battens
• Fitted brand new slates
• Completed fresh lead work
• Added a durable dry hip system
• Gave the chimney a fresh coat of paint

The result? A watertight finish and a very happy customer!
