From "kids' room" to "grown-up sanctuary" in Lymm! 🏡✨

We recently had the pleasure of transforming a local family's daughter’s bedroom into a space she’ll love!

Before the new flooring and paint went down, we handled the first fix—expertly altering the pipework to ensure a seamless finish.

Once the plastering, flooring, and skirting were complete, I returned to provide the finishing touch with this beautiful installation. 😍

​The star of the show? This stunning white column radiator.
We paired it with antique brass valves and matching pipe sleeves for that high-end, timeless look.

It’s not always about the "pretty" jobs—sometimes it’s the nitty-gritty plumbing that saves the day. 🛠️

​We were called out to Latchford for a leaking TRV (Thermostatic Radiator Valve).
What looked like a simple leak had already caused a water stain and a soggy carpet.

​The real story started once we drained the system. The water quality was poor—thick, dark, and full of debris.

While the new TRV is on and the leak is sorted, this system is crying out for a full power flush to keep the boiler healthy and the bills down.

​The lesson? If your valves are leaking, it might be a sign of what’s going on inside your pipes!

Today was a good day! 😁

​For the past year, you’ve probably seen me squeezing every last spanner, fitting and pipe into my trusty little blue Citroen Nemo. It served me well, but thanks to all of you, IG Property Maintenance has officially outgrown it!

​Today is New Van Day, and I couldn’t be more excited. More space means more parts on hand and even faster service for my customers. They say the sky is the limit—well, today I’m feeling sky-high! ☁️✨

​🚰 Refresh: New basin tap and pop-up waste installed.
​🔧 Fix: Replaced a faulty push-button syphon (no more flushing issues!).
​🚿 Protect: Stripped back the old, tired silicone and resealed the shower tray for a watertight finish.

​I’ll admit it—if it’s got a remote or an app, I’m probably going to love it.

So, when a customer in Woolston called me about a cold shower in his loft, I was intrigued.

​The setup was unique: a discontinued remote-controlled unit with zero parts available. Most would’ve called it a lost cause, but after a bit of hunting, I found the ultimate upgrade.

​The result? A shower that’s smarter than my first car:
​Bluetooth Dial: Mounted outside the glass (no more cold, wet arm!).
​App Control: Start the water from your bed
​Voice Control: "Alexa, get the shower ready at 38°C." 🫠

There’s no better compliment than a repeat customer. 🙌

​I’ve been working on this beautiful property in Fearnhead on and off for a while now—previously installing two vertical rads on the ground floor. Last weeks job was removing a corroding radiator and replacing it to a much better placed towel rail in the downstairs WC.

​To keep things as tidy and quiet as possible for the homeowners, I used a pipe freezing kit.

​Using the freeze machine on the flow and return pipes saved me the "stair-master" workout of a full system drain on this 3 tier property and guaranteed no air locks for the customer.

No air locks, no heavy lifting, no need to add extra inhibitor, just a clean, professional install.

​Another room almost finished (back next week to replace the wash basin) and another happy client! 😊
