For those that didnt know, the Usworth Bowling Club pavilion will be restored 👏

A bowls pavilion which has been out of action since May after it was torched by arsonists looks set to be restored to its former glory. The city council has applied to carry out extensive repairs on the building.

SAVE THE DATE ….. Saturday 29 May 2027!

Usworth Miners Welfare Park was officially opened on Saturday 4th June 1927. To celebrate 100 years of the park the Friends of Usworth Park, in collaboration with Usworth Bowling Club, Knitting Hinnies, Howay Crochet, and Canny Crafters, The Little Onion Club and Active Sunderland will be hosting a BIG party in the park on Saturday 29 May.

Further details will follow but for now please save the date!

If you’d like to find out more everyone is welcome at one of our monthly meetings, next one is 3 September at 5pm in the Millennium Centre.
