One of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of my job is revisiting a recently completed project and witnessing how the final design has transformed and improved the family's quality of life and their environment. This fantastic home extension in Waterlooville truly showcases why we do what we do.

Our Project Greenfield in Waterlooville is now moving into the planning phase. We're looking to demolish the front garage to make way for a brand-new office space. Plus, we're converting the first-floor loft into new bedrooms and enlarging the entrance hallway for a more welcoming feel.

So, the garage demolition and new proposals will require a householder planning application, which typically takes around 8 weeks to get approved. But the loft conversion is under permitted development, so my client's builder can start working right away!

New project awarded in Denmead, Waterlooville.

Our client plans to build a single-storey wrap-around extension that will create a lovely open-plan kitchen and dining area, along with a snug at the back, and a new bedroom and utility space to the side of the house.

Since this project involves extending most of the side and rear of the house, we will need to submit a householder planning application. This usually takes about 6 to 8 weeks for approval. We also have a main drain nearby; a further application to Southern Water needs to be ironed out before any works commence on site.

Looking forward to getting this on the board and issuing our initial sketch proposals.

We are officially moving from the drawing board to the construction phase for a fresh new dentist refurbishment in Southampton! 🏥✨

Our role has successfully transitioned from technical drawings and acting as the Principal Designer to providing hands-on, onsite Health & Safety CDM support as the project's dedicated CDM Advisor. 📐➡️🚧

Carrying out the first of many thorough onsite CDM audits and safety inspections to keep this site safe, compliant, and running smoothly. 🛡️📋

Class MA Conversion in Southampton!

Project Ables is in and registered with planning!

We managed to craft out 10 flats from the existing offices, very close to the town centre, and yes, with moderate parking as well!

We are also looking to add a further flat via a rear first-floor extension, creating a complete 11-unit development.

The client is super happy with the progress, and we are now moving swiftly into the technical design stages.

What we’re delivering:
✅ Full Planning and Technical team to support the Client's needs ( no need for our Client to shop around)
✅ Collaborative planning technical support
✅ Full Architectural sets for planning drawings, & working drawings, and submissions

Our Denmead project has successfully reached technical completion, and all necessary approvals are in place!

One of the biggest challenges we tackled was related to the SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure). The design features a lot of glass, and the client was quite firm about sticking to their vision. To navigate this issue, we decided to enhance the insulation in the walls, floors, windows, and the roof of the main house. With those changes, we successfully met the requirements and got the project approved! The project is now back in the hands of the client and contractor, and they are preparing for a summer build.

Here are some quick sketch concepts, floor plans sent for our client’s review, along with rough concept AI-generated 3D plans to help them visualise the space more effectively.

The client's wish was to keep the primary lounge in its current location, but to provide direct access to an open-plan social gathering area. They also wanted to improve the flow of the space and increase the amount of natural light.
