As part of our Environmental Awareness Week, our talented team put their baking skills to the test in a nature-inspired cake-off! From garden-themed creations to animal-inspired treats, the creativity on display was truly impressive (and tasty).

Our enclosure entry & decontamination training is designed for individuals who need to carry out tasks within a licensed asbestos enclosure, without undertaking asbestos removal.

Typical activities may include electrical isolations, water isolations, inspections, maintenance, or other essential works requiring safe entry and exit procedures.

This week, we're celebrating by raising awareness of environmental issues and the small actions we can all take to make a difference.

We weren't able to take part last week as it's been such a busy time for us, but we're proud to be marking the occasion this week with a range of activities.

Today, our staff are wearing green to show their support. Throughout the week, we're also encouraging everyone to consider alternative ways of travelling to work. Judging by our unusually empty car park today, many people are already getting involved!

We've also encouraged our wonderful team to leave areas of grass unmown in their gardens to support wildlife and create habitats for insects and other small creatures. It's a simple step that can make a big difference, and it's something we've supported every year through No Mow May.

Later this week, we'll be holding our very own Great Green Cake-Off, where staff will be showcasing their creativity with nature-themed bakes.

Our team members have also been capturing some beautiful photographs of nature in and around their homes and gardens. Keep an eye on our page for those pictures in the coming days.

In the meantime, here's a photo of some of our staff wearing green today to help raise awareness of the climate and nature challenges facing our world.

Our blue t**s have now left the nest, and here are a few clips from just before they fledged 😊

Our personal favourite is the cute and fluffy “blue pizza” scene, where they’re all calm and content, clearly full after being fed!

That’s it for our bird box coverage for this year… we’re expecting a call from Springwatch any day now 👀📺

We hope they do well out in the world, and we’re already looking forward to supporting more birds again next year.

A reminder: this was a live video stream from Julie, our Director's, bird box. Multiple G&L staff members also took bird boxes and bug hotels home as part of our ongoing effort to support the environment.
