In today's series about what our Volunteers are up to on lockdown, here's a few words from one of our Volunteer Guides, Denise, and a snap of her beautiful dog!

Work - I started my social distancing 4 weeks ago, so am beginning to miss human contact more this week, especially my voluntary roles. However, I am continuing to support Wells U3A by coordinating the Group Leaders and am helping the Wells Coronavirus Network as a volunteer on the phone.

Duties-I don’t miss shopping- never enjoyed it, so now feel it is perfect- organised, list in hand and shopping aisles in one direction. Trouble is my mask makes my glasses steam up constantly!

Cleaning- never done so much!

Leisure-I am enjoying using my free time painting and playing bridge on line, and chatting a lot more to friends ,again on the phone or on Zoom ( I now do yoga with a teacher in Canada!). The best part of my day- walking the dog!

it has been a pleasure to host guests to Wells last year. I hope that my future guests have a great stay in 2018.
