We are proud to share our ongoing work with Esquire Developments as the appointed Registered Building Control Approver (RBCA) for their new residential development in Kent.

Our RBCA role:

✨ Full-Scope Oversight: Delivering end-to-end plan assessments, structured site inspections, and completion certifications.

✨ Collaborative Delivery: Working alongside Esquire’s technical team and Esquire Construction Ltd (Principal Contractor).

✨ Phased Compliance: Aligning our inspection regime with a phased build programme running through to 2028 to ensure seamless, on-schedule sign-offs for every phase.

This week, Wilko has found himself somewhere that looks like it belongs in a medieval fairy tale…

But there’s a twist.

This “castle” wasn’t built in the Middle Ages.

Its story begins in the early 19th century, before a Victorian architect dramatically transformed the building with turrets, spires and elaborate Gothic detailing.

And that’s not the end of its story…

WHERE’S WILKO? 👀

This week’s location is in plain sight.

You’ll find a police station, a former pub and a remarkable tiled façade that has survived long after the pub itself disappeared.

Dedicated to Sir Robert Peel — whose name is forever associated with the creation of the Metropolitan Police in 1829.

His officers became known as “Bobbies” and “Peelers”.

But there’s more to this building than the name.

The original police station was replaced in 1930 with an Art Deco building, designed by architects Vine & Vine, while the pub façade retained its distinctive ceramic tiles and portrait of Sir Robert Peel.

Today, the pub is gone — but the façade survives as a fascinating “ghost sign”, preserving a little piece of the area’s history.
