✈️☀️ MJW Bathrooms & Tiling are on holiday! ☀️✈️

We’re taking a well-earned break and heading to Spain for our first family holiday with our little boy Oscar 🇪🇸❤️

We’ll be enjoying some much-needed family time and will be back responding to messages from Monday 21st September.

Thank you as always for your continued support and patience while we’re away. 🛁🔨

What a difference! 😍

This bathroom was transformed for a lovely couple who wanted a more accessible and practical space.

⭐ Bath removed and replaced with a walk-in shower
⭐ Bespoke stud partition built around the large window to create the perfect shower layout
⭐ Stylish white marble wet wall panels
⭐ New modern white toilet & sink unit
⭐ All pipework moved neatly underneath the floor
⭐ Ceiling cladding added for a clean, low-maintenance finish
⭐ 4 new LED spotlights fitted by the electrician
⭐ Light switch relocated to the landing wall
⭐ Flooring left ready for their son, who is a floor fitter himself, to complete

A bathroom that’s now easier to use, more practical and still looks fantastic. 🩵

✨ A FEW MORE PHOTOS FROM THIS TRANSFORMATION! ✨

We shared the before & after video of this project a few days ago so here are some more photos showing the finished bathroom and the finer details. 🛁🔨

⭐ Full bathroom stripped back after the original wet room installation failed
⭐ Rotten flooring removed and replaced with new floorboards
⭐ New slate shower tray installed
⭐ Floor fully re-tiled
⭐ Existing stud wall repaired and made structurally sound
⭐ Beautiful botanical feature wall created 🌿
⭐ Existing shower system and bathroom furniture re-fitted, as they were still in brilliant condition

The finished result is a bathroom that feels brand new, without the cost of replacing everything. 🙌

Sometimes a bathroom just needs the right repairs, a few upgrades and a quality installation to give it a whole new lease of life. 🤩

✨ FROM FAILED WET ROOM TO BRAND NEW BATHROOM! ✨

The customer had a fully tiled wet room installed a few years ago but unfortunately it hadn’t been installed correctly and eventually failed! This caused water to make its way through the bathroom floor and into the kitchen ceiling below! 😳💧

We stripped the bathroom back completely and once we lifted the floor tiles, discovered the damage was much worse than expected. The floor had become so rotten from water ingress that the entire bathroom floor had to be replaced with new floorboards.

We then:

⭐ Removed the failed wet room installation
⭐ Replaced the rotten bathroom floor
⭐ Installed a new slate shower tray
⭐ Retiled the floor
⭐ Removed tiles from one wall
⭐ Repaired and strengthened the existing stud wall which wasn’t structurally sound
⭐ Created a stunning botanical feature wall 🌿
⭐ Re-fitted the existing shower system and bathroom furniture, which were still in brilliant condition

The result? 🤩 A bathroom that feels completely brand new, without the customer having to pay for an entirely new bathroom suite.

Sometimes you don’t need to start again — you just need the right repairs, a few upgrades and a proper installation. 💪

Another bathroom transformation complete… this time for Mum & Dad! 🛁

There’s always a bit more pressure when working for family… because there’s nowhere to hide if they don’t like it! 😂

Luckily, they loved the finished result!

They originally had a walk-in shower but realised they were really missing the luxury of a bath, so we gave the bathroom a fresh new look.

⭐ Removed the shower tray and old tiles
⭐ Installed a brand-new bath
⭐ Fitted modern wet wall panels for a sleek, easy-to-clean finish
⭐ Added a matching splashback around the sink area
⭐ Replaced the peeling black fixtures with timeless chrome fittings

A simple change that completely transformed the space and gave them the best of both worlds — a practical shower area with the relaxing bath they’d been missing. 🩵

A closer look at all the details that completely transformed this bathroom.

One of the biggest changes was making use of the empty space behind the bath by creating bespoke built-in shelving with integrated downlights. This not only gave our customer the extra storage they wanted but also added a luxurious feature that completely elevates the space.

We also:
🤍 Moved all the pipework beneath the floor for a cleaner, more spacious finish
✨ Installed low-maintenance wet wall panels
🌿 Fitted beautiful oak vanity units
💛 Finished the room with elegant brass fixtures
🛁 Installed a deep bath for the perfect place to relax
