Bonus fact 🌊:The Bristol Channel has one of the highest tidal ranges in the entire world. This means the sea at Weston can go a long, long way out. Marine Lake was created so people could still swim in the water at low tide!

Fun fact about rheas: They're stay at home dads!

Did you know? Male rheas handle parenting solo. After constructing the ground nest and incubating the eggs for roughly six weeks, the male hatches the chicks, then feeds, guides, and fiercely defends them for up to six months all while the females leave to mate with other males.

This might explain why our Rosie's so fiercely independent! She now has 8 eggs in the orchard – one more than last year!
