"The Apartment is a joint venture between myself and my sister Vicky. We wanted a place in our home town of Whitby to stay when we visit and to rent out when we are not there. We chose the simple name of "the Apartment" as it is named after one of our favourite films starring Jack Lemmon and Shirley MaClaine in the 1960's classic, so it seemed apt. You will find a tribute to the film in the Kitche
n!! It is located on the popular Whitehall Landing Development on the River Esk, and is only short walk from the town centre. Whitby is a very busy all year round resort and parking is very limited, "The Apartment" however, has it's own parking space allocated and there are plenty of visitors spaces too. Being near the river there is a riverside walk and a children's play area to keep the kids amused. However, there are so many things to keep them entertained in Whitby you won't be stuck for something to do. We have left guidebooks and literature in the flat for you to look at. We are a non-smoking establishment and unfortunately we don't allow pets, not our decision as we are animal lovers, but the other residents have voted to no pets in the whole block. "The Apartment" is a 2 bedroomed ground floor flat, it is modern and contemporary and decorated to a high standard with all modern facilities. There is one double bedroom and one twin bedded room which also has a double sofa bed in. There is also a cot for babies should you need it. There is a modern spacious bathroom with a bath and electric shower, One fantastic aspect of the flat is that being ground floor there is good access for buggies and wheelchairs, the flat also has wide door frames too for disabled access. There is a modern kitchen with a microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer, and a comfortable lounge with TV, DVD and wifi internet access. We have also provided a Wi for the kids (and adults) and various board games and things to entertain them. We have provided the best of linens and towels and everything you could want for a comfortable stay is on hand. Whitby is a beautiful seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast. Famous for Whitby Jet, Captain Cook, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Heartbeat, Lucky Ducks, Whitby Abbey, the Steam Railway and the Whale bones. There are breath taking views, beautiful beaches and amazing restaurants and bars. You won't be stuck for something to do. At certain times of year Whitby holds its Regatta, a Folk Week, Lifeboat Days, Goth Weeks and Scooter Rally's - there is always something happening. It is an all year round resort these days, people go throughout the year so we will be available for bookings all year round.
