Whitley Bay at its best!! 😎🌞🎉 Carnival day!! Lots of music, street food & good vibes!! Our day started with a lovely coffee from Valerie’s whilst we watched the amazing parade!! A lovely walk along the coast even spotting our first dolphin 🐬 of the year to Salthouse where we enjoyed a few glasses of Sangria and the fabulous views of Cullercoats Bay!!

After some glorious weather, it’s definitely taken a turn for the worse 🤦🏻‍♀️ but there is still lots to do in Whitley Bay even if the sun isn’t coming out to play!! Today we went to Thai Orchard Spa & Massage, such a lovely treat & just over a 5 minute walk from The Beach Hideaway.
You could also enjoy a trip to our very own independent cinema in the heart of Whitley Bay. The Jam Jar Cinema is friendly, affordable & inclusive showing the very latest movies. It now has 3 screens, 2 bars & a lift that makes the Jam Jar accessible for all. The Jam Jar became the first “pay as you please” cinema in the country. This gives you a choice of tiers which you get to choose depending on your financial situation. 🎥 🍿
PIRATE ESCAPE – Also in the heart of Whitley Bay. An escape room designed for groups of 1-6 players. Children of any age are welcomed though it is recommended a minimum age of 14 as the games are designed for adults. After entering one of the pirate themed worlds, you and your pirate crew has 60 minutes to solve the challenges & puzzles to find the treasure and escape. 🏴‍☠️

WAVES LEISURE POOL –
Located on the Links at Whitley Bay. Waves has an ever popular wave machine & slides for adults & children alike. There is a special aquatic play area featuring a pirate ship for younger visitors. 🏊‍♂️
WHITLEY BAY ICE RINK -
The only public ice rink in the North East, open to everyone all year round. Have a fun day out iceskating or watch one of the the thrilling Whitley Bay Warriors ice hockey matches. ⛸️
NFLATANATION –
Located at the Royal Quays, North Shields. Inflatanation is an action packed inflatable theme park with 20,000 square feet of exciting inflatable activities for the whole family. Tynemouth Aquarium- Sotuated beside Tynemouth Longsands beach, the aquarium is home to a huge selection of species from local shores and tropical seas. 🐟 🐠 there is a seal hospital and don’t forget to check out the feed and talk times!!
