Hello, July! ☀️

Can you believe we're already half way through the year? School's nearly out, the valley's bursting with wildflowers, and the evenings just keep going.

This is one of our favourite months. The Astronomy Evenings are back every Saturday and Sunday with Dr Adrian Jannetta, though spots are filling up fast you can find details in our website. The deer are looking smart in their summer coats. And if you enjoy a picnic with stunning views, you won't find a better spot than up in the Cheviots (take litter home please)

An early wander around the beautiful Wallington before it gets hot! Walled garden, woodland, lakes and the house, all looking stunning.

This morning we enjoyed a beautiful coastal walk from Warkworth to Alnmouth and back, visiting St Cuthbert’s Cross and Mortuary Chapel.
Little is known about the cross other than that it was rumoured to be the location where St Cuthbert agreed to become Bishop of Lindisfarne when petitioned by the king.
We finished with crab bruschetta and chicken burger at the fabulous pop up cafe, Forsyth’s at the car park!
The beach is about 30 minutes from our cottages.
