Squirrel Cottage

Squirrel Cottage Squirrel Cottage, Whittlesey. This early eighteenth-century cottage is a semi-detatched, thatched property in one of the oldest parts of Whittlesey town.

Close to the New Crown public house and home to at least one 'alternative' residency, Squirrel Cottage is so-called not only for the squirrels that dance about the quaint garden, but also for the two thatch-work straw animals that inhabit the roof. One is definitely a squirrel, look out for them next time you're strolling through the old-town.
