What’s Coming? 👀🚀

Well… the clearing is DONE, the wheels are turning and we’re now finalising our next moves… 👀

So, what do you think we’re planning? 🤔 Because we genuinely cannot wait to transform this space! 🔥

It’s hard to believe just how much we’ve worked, battled, grafted and fought to get to this point. And let’s be honest… it’s not like we haven’t already got enough going on at the minute! 😂

But if we can’t rise to a challenge, then there’s something seriously wrong! 😜

Two strong-willed, determined, ambitious, innovative minds putting our heads together to create something that we think could be pretty special. 💭✨

There’s going to be plenty of opportunity to bring some local expertise into this transformation, so if you’re a business or tradesperson who thinks you could add something special to the project, keep your eyes peeled. Clearing the Way 🌿🚜

The clearing is well and truly underway, and we’re starting to see the space we’ve got to work with! 👀

Now comes the exciting (and slightly challenging) bit… what do we actually do with it?! 😂

We’re looking for inspiration for a budget-friendly, design-led and, most importantly, low-maintenance solution for the surrounding area.

The space needs to be multi-purpose — somewhere that works for parking and access when needed, but also looks smart, considered and like it actually belongs with the house rather than just being a glorified car park! 🤣

Think practical but pretty, stylish but sensible, and something that won’t have us spending every weekend maintaining it.

So… hit us with your ideas! 👇
Driveways, clever landscaping, planting, gravel, paving, screening, lighting… anything that could give us that “ooh, that looks good” factor without breaking the bank.

And… 👀 local businesses, landscapers, driveway specialists, garden designers, paving companies, fencing specialists, suppliers and anyone with a brilliant product or idea — feel free to get involved!

We’d love to see what local businesses can offer and potentially showcase the transformation, products and workmanship as part of the project. If you’ve got a great idea that could work for the space, drop it below or get in touch. 🌿🏡

We’re open to inspiration — because at the moment, the only thing we’re certain of is that the before needs a LOT of work! 😂

And that’s the first of the furnishing deliveries 🚚, the upstairs family bathroom 💥 massive thanks to Phil, Eve and the team MKM for all of their help.
Special shout out to my little helper, our gorgeous little hurricane, Zahra for helping to offload the delivery. Safe to say the pennies that Phil kindly awarded her were spent on a very well deserved ice cream.

Now waiting on my floor tiles and trying to gain some aesthetic styling advice on what to put on the floors and family bathroom floor 🤔💋

🚨 STARSHIP UPDATE – Mission Control has finally signed off! 🚀

Well… after what has felt like 437 meetings, 2,684 changes, countless cups of coffee, a few sleepless nights, and enough indecision to test the patience of a saint… we’ve finally pulled the trigger! 😂

Mission Control has officially approved the kitchen… and trust me, it’s going to be an absolute showstopper. Think elegance, finesse, timeless style, and just enough wow factor to make you want to “accidentally” drop by for a brew. ☕✨

But why stop there?

We’ve also chosen a lush shower room and an absolutely exquisite main bathroom. Every detail has been carefully thought through, and seeing the whole vision finally come together is incredibly exciting.

Now… here’s where medals should be handed out. 🥇

A huge thank you to Eve and the fantastic team at MKM Wigan . You have tolerated every “just one more change…”, every “what if we…”, every last-minute rethink, and every moment of my perfectionism with nothing but patience, professionalism and a smile - amazing.

And because Team Starship doesn’t do things by halves…

The beautiful Italian wood-effect floor tiles are now on order too! 🇮🇹🔥

Which brings me to our own flooring wizard… Lee Boyd.

Lee, thank you for sticking with me, seeing the vision long before anyone else could, offering your advice, and helping us turn ideas into something that’s going to be truly special. Your skill, patience and workmanship deserve enormous respect, and I genuinely can’t wait to see your magic happen.

Of course, no Starship mission would be complete without the man who’s going to bring the heart of the home to life. A massive shout-out to Alfie Carter—kitchen fitter extraordinaire, one of our very best mates, and an unwavering source of support throughout this journey. We honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else to oversee the kitchen installation. We know you’ll work your magic and create something truly spectacular.

And let’s not forget Neil, our bathroom and shower room maestro. You’re the man who’s going to transform our plans into beautiful, practical spaces, and I know they’ll be finished to the highest standard. We can’t wait to see your craftsmanship on full display.

To every single one of you… thank you.

You are all proud, honorary members of Team Starship, and this project simply wouldn’t be what it is without you. Every one of you is playing a huge part in turning a dream into reality, and for that we’ll always be grateful.

The countdown is on. The deliveries are coming. The build continues. And I promise… when this Starship finally launches, she’s going to be something very, very special.
