Today was a moment for us all where I int reduced a wonderful family who are in the process of buying this incredible estate to my wonderful Client. It is quite a moment when you understand your client and the history behind a property and the journey they have taken to this moment. You also find the perfect buyer who has a vision and can appreciate what has gone before, their young family who founded in and just felt right at home and you could see the adventures they are just about to bark on, Swallows & Amazons perhaps but very definitely yes what a wonderful life us ahead.

If you could just Stand here for a moment and everything else disappears.

Not because of architecture the properties make no grand gestures. They were never designed to dominate the landscape. Instead, they belong to it. Considered craftsmanship, calm lines, built to whisper rather than shout.

Home isn’t a place you arrive at, it’s a feeling you return to.

It’s the quiet after the door closes. The light that falls just right through the window in the late afternoon. The sense, at last, of being exactly where you’re meant to be with the ones you love.

Home is where you don’t have to perform. Where your shoulders drop, your breath slows, and you remember who you are beneath everything else.

It isn’t found. It’s built, moment by moment, in the spaces that hold you gently & your heart tight.

This is my home, it is not a castle and there are no signs of glitz, pieces and threads of my life, travels which have been extensive and new pieces too that fit a new life in Great Tew. I have adapted & down sized through the past 6 months which I have struggled with emotionally, knowing that I am getting older and actually I just need a few pieces to fit into a tiny cottage over looking the most beautiful of bucolic English countryside views.
It is home & it feels just right.

Days like this remind me just how powerful kindness and opportunity can be. A heartfelt thank you to the BBC and the incredible team behind Escape to the Country, filmed by Naked Productions, for inviting me to be part of something truly special.

And to the wonderful Nicki Chapman, thank you. Nicki is so very kind, a beautiful, warm, genuine lady and an absolute joy. Nicki was so happy as she helped her couple find their perfect home here in Cheshire, they made an offer, and it was accepted… that’s the magic of what they all do on Escape To The Country

I had the pleasure of showcasing what life — and property — can look like in this beautiful part of the country, with a special focus on Thousand Oaks.

A home with a story as unique as its design. Purchased at auction from the Duchy of Lancaster, set within 3.5 acres, and brought to life by Bower Edleston Architects, this is the modern house in the country.

Not the expected cosy cottage with oak beams and open fires…
But something bolder. Braver.

Modern country homes like this don’t follow trends, they create them. They stand alone, unapologetically different. Not for everyone… but then again, neither is greatness.

I will forever champion architecture, design, and those who dare to stand out.
