IMPORTANT INFO | As it's our first fireworks finale night of the season at this Saturday's *s o l d - o u t* Illuminations, we will be offering a park & ride service from Cromford Meadows (DE4 3RQ).

In addition to the fact we're at capacity (no tickets at the gate), the fireworks attract lots of visitors to Matlock Bath to enjoy the display from other parts of the village, which is why we offer the park & ride service, as local car parks will be heaving.

Operated by the fabulous Andrews of Tideswell, the service takes the hassle out of your Illuminations visit and will run from around 4pm to 10pm on our firework nights only - every Saturday in October and the final Sunday 1st November. The buses drop off near the Illuminations entrance, so are better suited to visitors with mobility issues.

Park & ride prices for 2026 are the same as they were in 2025: £2.00 (return) per adult, £1.00 for children and under 5s are free. The buses are fully accessible and well behaved dogs are welcome.

There is *no* parking charge at Cromford Meadows on top of the park & ride fee. And please note this service gets great reviews! 👍

As Wirksworth Wizarding Day draws to a close, join our Parade of Witches, Wizards, Professors and Magical Creatures around St Mary’s churchyard.
Follow the character costume contestants - you don’t need to have entered the costume contest to take part — everyone is welcome. So dress up, bring your wand and why not make a flag or banner to carry? Make this at home or join our banner workshop.
