A night away in Devon for the Lomers team, with the vehicles parked up and ready for the next stage of the move.

These photos show the preparation that goes on behind the scenes before the heavy lifting begins. Here, our team carefully protected each individual stair tread, helping to prevent knocks, scratches and damage as furniture and boxes were moved through the property.

It takes a little extra time and attention, but for us, details like this are simply part of doing the job properly.

From floors and staircases to doorways and furniture, we take care at every stage — whether we're moving you out of your old home or into your new one. 📦🚚

The weather certainly likes to keep Team Lomers on their toes.

Moving days have to happen whatever the forecast decides to do, and our crews are well used to adapting — taking extra care when it’s wet, protecting belongings from the elements and keeping everything running smoothly.

Everyone deserves a break…

Moving might be serious business, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t time for a little fun along the way. 😂

Jamie making the most of a well-earned break between the lifting, loading and miles on the road — and apparently proving you’re never too old for a tree swing!

It’s these little behind-the-scenes moments that sum up life at Lomers. A hardworking team who get the job done, look out for one another and manage to have a laugh while doing it.

We’re just hoping Jamie remembered he had to get back to work afterwards… 🚚

💙 £640 raised — and we’re 64% of the way there!

We’re delighted to share another fundraising update for BEAT – Billingshurst Emergency Assistance Team, Lomers’ chosen charity for 2026.

Thanks to the generosity of our customers, we’ve now raised an amazing £640 towards our £1,000 target. 🎉

The money has been raised through the sale of items kindly donated by customers during their moves. Instead of unwanted belongings going to waste, they’re finding new homes — while helping us raise vital funds for a brilliant local cause.

BEAT provides rapid emergency response within our local community, helping to provide vital care during those critical minutes before an ambulance arrives. We’re incredibly proud to be supporting Paul and the team and the work they do. 💙

And we’re getting closer… £360 to go!

Another collection, another journey — this time from Stockport!

The Lomers vehicles were looking right at home on the streets of Stockport as the team got to work on another long-distance collection.

Moving home doesn’t always mean travelling just around the corner. Our crews regularly head across the country, carefully collecting, transporting and delivering our customers’ belongings wherever they need to go.

Behind every long-distance move is plenty of planning and coordination — making sure the right team, vehicles and timings all come together to keep moving day running smoothly.

🏡 What a view from last weeks move in Steyning!

The Lomer’s team were out in beautiful Steyning, West Sussex for this move — and this was the view looking down on our vehicles from the property!

It’s one of the things we love about being out on the road. One day we’re navigating busy town streets, the next we’re surrounded by views like this.

Of course, a beautiful setting doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of hard work going on behind the scenes. Careful planning, experienced hands and a great team all help make sure everything gets from A to B safely.
