“What is fixed return investing?”

Well, not everyone likes the idea of building a property portfolio. For some people that just doesn’t appeal to them. But they still want to make a a return on their money, greater than the miserable 2-4% that the banks are offering.

A fixed return investment is essentially a loan. For example, if a client gave me £100,000 to fund a project with a fixed return of 10% for a period of 12 months, after 12 months, they will be repaid £110,000 for doing absolutely nothing other than providing the funds.

IS BUY TO LET STILL A GOOD INVESTMENT?

The answer is yes. With the banks offering a very low percentage interest rate for savings accounts (most under 4%), a buy to let investment is a great way of making your money work for you. Allowing you to receive reasonable cash flow every month and provide you with assets.

IS THE RENT FREEZE GOING TO BE AN ISSUE?

The rent freeze is only in place for sitting tenants. If you have a vacant property, then you get to choose the rental fee. With the housing shortage rising and demand for rental accommodation extremely high, you can still receive high rental income, even when being caring of other peoples money issues.

As of today, the “real value” of pay has fell by 3%, even after average wages rose 4.7% due to the rising of inflation.

Most banks pay less than 2% interest rates on saving accounts.

This is why property remains the best investment vehicle for your money and there isn’t a better time to get involved.

A buy to let portfolio can get you a much better return on your money than any bank will give.
