Come and join an independent lettings and property management agency based in Wivenhoe! We specialise in House shares (Houses in Multiple Occupation) in the Colchester area. We pride ourselves on responsive, pro-active service for both our landlords and tenants and are looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.
So what is the role of Tenant Advisor?
The role will principally be to acquire and look after our tenants! This includes:
• Managing the advertising and enquiries for our available properties and rooms across multiple sites and apps
• Receiving and progressing new tenant enquiries – filtering viable tenants and arranging viewings
• Undertaking tenant viewings at properties in Colchester, Wivenhoe and surrounding areas
• Scheduling and undertaking tenant move-ins and move-outs
• Management and organisation of cleaners/third party contractors
• Helping tenants with day-to-day queries
• Handling challenging situations and working through conflict
• Undertaking routine property inspections by following a defined process, using our app based solutions
Where is the role based?
• This role is a remote working role – you will based from your own home, and the role will involve visiting the properties we manage in Colchester, Wivenhoe and surrounding areas
What hours does the role involve?
• This role is a job share – we are looking for 2 people to cover our opening hours Monday – Friday 9.00 – 5.30 and Saturday 10.00 – 3.00
• Each weekday worked will have minimum contractual hours of 6.5 hours per day, with the opportunity to flex up with overtime
• We are keen to talk to people who want to work shorter days or only specific days or the week
• Days worked are flexible depending on the applicant – please give full details of your preference in your application
About you….
This exciting role is suited to someone with the following skills and experience:
• A real people person who enjoys engaging with new people and building rapport quickly
• IT literate – proficient in use of Excel, Word and with an attitude to learn and use other apps and software
• Able to solve problems and think quickly under pressure
• Enjoys autonomy and making decisions
• Driven to provide great customer service, but able to have challenging conversations when required
• Must be able to drive and have own transport
• Experience working in a letting or property management environment is advantageous but not essential
