So, I am back from the sea and repaing roofs and gutters again. A customer asked me if I thought that working on boats and roofs are very different. I told her that there are a lot of similarities, a roof is just an upside down boat, they both have to keep the water out!

Finally the beast is hauled out in Cornwall in a nice safe boat yard. Mission accomplished!

Still here in Portugal, this week I had to install the anchor windlass. It was supposed to have gone up in the bows but for many reasons that was a very bad idea. So I had to re_site it nearer the centre of the boat. This entailed chopping things out, grinding back and carbon fiber laminates to keep it all strong. It wasn't easy but the hard part is done now.
