North Devon does autumn rather well. 🍂

Especially around Lynmouth and Watersmeet — wooded paths, rushing water and plenty of excuses to stop and look around.

It’s one of our favourite walks when the beaches get quieter and the trees start doing their thing.

About 40 minutes from No.9 Putsborough and absolutely worth the drive.

What will they remember from next summer?

Probably not the things you planned.
It might be flying a kite until their arms ache. Rock pooling at Barricane. That first brave bodyboard wave. Ice cream before dinner because… well, you’re on holiday.

And then wandering back to No.9 Putsborough, just a few minutes from the beach.
