The first application window for SFI 2026 opens on 30th June 2026 for:
✅ Small farms (less than 50 hectares)
✅ Farms not currently in a live agri-environmental scheme

Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, so it’s essential to be prepared ahead of the opening window.

Key details:
✔️ Up to £100,000 maximum agreement budget per SBI number, per year
✔️ 3-year agreements
✔️ Second application window opens September 2026 for all other farms
